KALEIDOSCOPE PARENTS

Parents play an important role in molding their children’s attitudes. That is why Kaleidoscope invites parents to participate in a variety of programs. Programming includes social skills workshops that they participate in with their children and other workshops that join them with parents of other cultures. Our Story, for example, is a specially designed story hour that joins Ethiopian and Native Israeli mothers and Arab and Jewish mothers, in workshops in which they develop skills of storytelling that enhance  their relationship with their children. This relationship is enhanced at home with books that we give them to build their home libraries. Our Story also provides them with time with one another in which they share their personal and cultural stories, helping them to learn from and about one another’s cultures.
