Research points to the importance of developing values and social skills at an early age when children’s attitudes are most malleable. That is why Kaleidoscope’s Early Childhood Initiative was created. Implemented today in Akko, Lod, Ramle and Jerusalem, the Early Childhood Initiative trains nursery and kindergarten to implement Kaleidoscope’s activities to help foster the social skills pertinent to their age group – self-awareness, empathy, respectful communication and more.

They apply these skills in their everyday settings, creating an atmosphere in which the children begin to appreciate differences. The children then apply these skills in interactive social programming like art and sports that join them with children of different cultures beginning to internalize the tenants of democracy at an early age.
