This Kaleidoscope initiative is geared for elementary school students of different cultures, like students of the special and general education tracks or children of Ethiopian origin and their native Israeli peers.

These students join in contributing to the community, e.g. working with the elderly or cleaning a public park. In doing so, they learn to contribute to the community and focus on their similarities, seeing each other as equal members of society. It also provides the “minority group” with opportunities to actively contribute to the community, rather than always receiving from it.

The program reaches its goals through professional training, preparatory workshops in which the children learn about each other, and the interactive community service activities.
